动词短语（ 一次看懂“动词短语”有哪几种）
动词短语是个在日常生活会一直听到的口语话用法，不过你知道他还有分三个种类么？想要道地正确地使用片语动词赶快来先搞懂他的规则吧！
动词短语有个有趣的特质就是他很“口语化”，有相当多的动词短语会跟另一个一般动词同义，不过在口语对话上会比较常用动词短语 (一般动词也是会说，不过感觉比较正式)。比如说 make up 同义 invent、turn down 同义 decline、work out 同义 solve、go back 同义 return 等等。
Type A 动词短语有些不及物 (不用宾语亦成立)，有些及物 (必须有宾语才成立)。所以要注意该动词需不需要加宾语。
The dancer fell down during an important performance.
那个舞者在一场重要的表演中跌倒。
Distraught, she gave up the dream of becoming a world-class performer.
她因此灰心，放弃了成为世界级舞者的梦想。
第一个例句的动词 fall down （摔倒）不及物，所以不需要加宾语。第二个例句的 give up （放弃）及物，所以需要加上宾语dream。要注意的是 Type A 的宾语可以加在动词后面或是副词后面，所以 give the dream up 跟 give up the dream 都可以。不过若是使用代名词（me, you, him, she, them, it等），那就只能加在动词后面，所以 give up it 不行，要用 give it up。

Type B 动词短语一定及物，因为是在动词后加上了一个介词短语。介词短语就是介词加上宾语。
Her parents disagreed with her and urged her to continue dancing.
她的父母不同意他的想法，督促她要继续跳舞。
例句里的动词 disagree 后面加上了 with 介词，宾语是 her。因为 Type B 的宾语是跟着介词，所以不像 Type A，它不能乱跑到动词后面，只能乖乖的待在介词后面。
另外，因为只是加上一个补充说明的介词短语，所以动词本身的意思不太会有变动，只是多了介系词片语补充说明这个动词跟受词的相对关系。

Type C 的片语动词最长，不过基本上就是不及物的 Type A 加上一个介词短语 (*有例外)。
She eventually recovered and became a professional dancer, and everyone looked up to her.
她恢复后成为了专业的舞者，所有人都很尊敬她。
因为不及物 Type A 动词短语不能加宾语，所以要这个动作指向一个物品就只能在后面加上介词短语。因此，Type C 的宾语跟 Type B 一样不能乱摆，只能放在介词后面。
常见 Type C 动词短语
carry on with sth 继续做...
catch up with so 和...聊天
come up with 想出来...
get along with 和...相处
keep away from 远离...
look out for 注意...
make up for 补偿...
put up with 忍受...
